English Teachers

English Teachers

Being a teacher is a very noble job. It requires passion and dedication to the chosen profession. It requires continuous learning in the chosen field of expertise. While teachers may always be of high demand, English teachers always prove to have a higher demand. Because of the aforementioned need to catch up with the emerging global trend of English as part of a child's vernacular, English teachers are needed more now than in previous decades.

While teaching English may seem very easy, one can not just teach English on a whim. English teachers must possess certain qualifications. This includes, the very minimum which are native speaker proficiency in writing and speaking English, a Bachelor's Degree in a field related to English (Education, Literature, etc.), and having passed a language teaching qualification exam.

Some English language learners learn English to be able to qualify for TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). TOEFL is the most recognized language test in the world. English language learners need it to be able to qualify to universities abroad. Almost every university in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia use TOEFL as a way to gage the potential student's English proficiency.

English teachers are expected to be qualified in TOEFL in some countries such as Korea.
